Erin's Platform

Riverside is our city. And Riverside is our home.

Riverside can be a place where everyone can thrive.

Here’s what that looks like:

Addressing Homelessness

Homelessness takes many forms: the mom and her kids sleeping on a friend’s couch, the student living in his car, and the person sleeping on a park bench. Just as there’s more than one story, there’s also more than one solution.

Building upon my career in social services, I will champion the Housing First model, explore viable emergency options, and focus on prevention: creating affordable housing, supporting vulnerable populations, and ensuring mental health and support services for our neighbors in need.

Investing in our Neighborhoods

From the air we breathe to the places our children play, our neighborhoods matter. When our walls shake from truck traffic or when the nearest grocery store or playground is miles away, that impacts our quality of life.

On City Council, I will keep our streets clean, reduce truck traffic, and ensure that we all feel secure and connected. My family deserves that. And so does yours. I will make sure that residents’ voices are heard and that our neighborhoods have what they need to thrive.

Putting Riverside on the Map

Our city isn’t just the place we live. It’s the place we call home. Our river, parks, mountain, and museums make us strong. Our business community helps us grow. And our rich history keeps us rooted— from Chinatown to the Trujillo Adobe.

Innovation thrives when we pair our unique story with a unique need. On City Council, I will invest in arts, culture, and innovation, working with businesses, schools, universities, nonprofits, local communities, and city services to tell our story. The result drives good jobs, increased revenue, and a strong sense of place.
